CAS344 - HARVEST OF BLESSINGS

Hey there, it's that time again...this week's CAS challenge is Apples.  Misti almost had me stumped on this one!  I realized how I don't really have any stamp sets with apples.  Hmmm...I might have to fix that...oh wait, I did!  *grin*  My Favorite Things, Harvest Mouse, is perfect, and my LSS, Memories of Time, got it in the store right in the nick of time!  Whew!

The leaves were stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White then masked before the barrel and mouse were stamped.  The images were colored with Copic markers, fussy cut then popped up on foam.  The background was sponged with Toffee Crunch and Peanut Brittle (are you hungry now?  LOL) then Peanut Brittle was splattered onto the background using a paint brush.  A few pearls and falling leaves complete the card.

CAS343 - BIGGEST DUCK FAN

Hey there, happy Sunday!  I'm popping in with this week's CAS challenge card, Football Season.  So...what good is a football game without their dedicated, and somewhat crazy, fans?  This Duck fan would fit right in at our house on game day!   I think I need to get one of those fingers!  *grin*  There is a saying here in Oregon...it never rains at Autzen Stadium.  That's where I got my inspiration to create a stenciled sunburst behind the colored panel.

The background was made using MFT's Sun Ray stencil and Dandelion ink.  Once the stencil was removed, it was sponged again to soften the white space.  The image was stamped onto Neenah Solar White then colored with Copic markers.  A second foam had was stamped, colored, fussy cut then popped up on an Action Wobble...so fun!

CAS342 - PEEK-A-BOO!

Hey there, my pumpkin for today's Splitcoaststampers CAS challenge comes in the form of a jack-o-lantern.  I love Halloween and I really love Whipper Snapper Designs Halloween images!  This little peek-a-boo kitty is stinking adorable!

*Confession time*  I've been a collector of stencils for a while now, but not so much of a user.  I decided today was the day to change that!  I used a checkerboard stencil from My Favorite Things and sponged some Pistachio ink onto it then removed the stencil and sponged more Pistachio ink.  I kind of like it!  I will definitely be playing with more stencils in the future!

The image was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White, colored with Copic markers, fussy cut then the pumpkin was glued down while the leaves and cat were popped up on foam for a little added dimension.  Die cut leaves were colored to tie into the image then shaped with a Susan's Garden tool kit.  The button looks a little dark, but in real life it perfectly matches the purple on the hat.

COPIC COLORING:
PUMPKIN:  YR18, YR15, YR12, YR00  HAT:  C6, C4, C2, C0, V17, V15, V12, Y15, Y11, Y00  CAT:  C6, C4, C2, C0, R30, R00, R000  CAT'S COLLAR:  V17, V15, V12  GRASS:  YG95, YG93,  YG91  LEAVES:  YG93, YR15, YR12, Y00

I'm entering this into the NBUS Challenge #5...MFT stencil and this image are both new.

CAS341 - DIGBY

Hey there, Happy Labor Day!  I'm popping in with a card for this week's CAS challenge, Hale to Your Almamater.  Joyce is challenging us to use our high school colors or a school theme.  I went with the classic red, white and black for my high school colors!

Digby, from Whipper Snapper Designs, is pretty perfect for this color combo!  He was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White then colored with Copic markers.  A clear glaze pen was used on his nose for a nice, subtle shine.  Easy peasy layout and a button with twine bow completes the card.

COPIC COLORING:
